Work Shop on Dalit Land Rights

<h1 style="\\\\\\\\"color:" red;\\\\\\\\"=""> We are happy to inform you that Centre for Dalit Rights and IGSS New Delhi are jointly organizing two days workshop on Land Rights on 6-7 August 2014 at Kissan Bhawan, Tonk Road, Jaipur in which over one hundred grass root level activists working on Land issues, representatives from various government Departments/ agencies, academics, and policy makers will participate. The focus will be of this unique workshop will be on Land policy issues in the context of weaker Sections in Rajasthan besides to discuss and highlight the Land reform problems in Rajasthan like non implementation of Land reforms laws, tardy enforcement of Ceiling Laws, status of Bhoodaan and Gramdaan Land and setup of special Courts/ Tribunals to decide Land dispute cases of Dalits in Courts. This workshop will also be amide at bringing Spokesperson who will speak on how the Land Reform are possible in Rajasthan in spite of resistance of the Land Mafia and vested interests. We will be able to gain insight into the kind of strategic direction that is necessary for launching a state level campaign on Land Rights in Rajasthan.
